Asus is back at CES with another line of high-end ZenPhones. We already told you about the Asus ZenPhone 2, but the more interesting device may be the Asus ZenPhone Zoom. At first glance it looks a lot like the Nokia Lumia 1020. The reason for the giant camera bump is some crazy new technology.
Yes, I said optical zoom. Like a real camera.
The ZenPhone Zoom has a 13MP camera with a 10-element lens, 3X optical zoom, and optical image stabilization. It’s an impressive piece of smartphone camera technology. Asus raved about how far it can zoom and the photo quality, but we’ll have to test that for ourselves. Other specs include a 5.5-inch 1080p display.
