One of the big releases (and talking points) of last year was the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge from Samsung. This device caught everyone’s attention thanks to its uniquely curved secondary screen. The release of the Edge caught everyone off-guard as no one was really expecting Samsung to launch two different Note variants when the Edge was launched. That said, the Note Edge did launch and since its release has been slowly rolling out to networks.
Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge were released by Samsung at the start of September at IFA in Berlin. The Note 4 was much quicker to hit the market with the device starting to become available in October. This availability included U.S. Cellular who announced the Note 4 adding to their lineup on October 13th, with the device going on sale October 17th. That said, the Note Edge was not that quick coming. In fact, it took until November before U.S. Cellular announced that the Note Edge would eventually land on their network. Well, if you were waiting for the Note Edge to land then it looks like it is finally happening
U.S. Cellular have announced that the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will be available to buy from their network starting Wednesday 7th January. If you are interested in picking up one, the device will cost $399 on a two-year contract. If you want the device cheaper, then how does free sound? If you opt for U.S. Cellular ‘equipment installment plan’ then you can pick up the Edge with $0 down. Of course, this option will include 20 monthly payments on top of your bill. If you need a quick recap on what’s on offer, then besides the Edge screen, the Note Edge comes with a 5.6-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. Inside the device comes with 3GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor (clocking at 2.7GHz). In terms of cameras, there is a 16MP shooter on the back and a 3.7MP front facing option. The Edge comes with 32GB internal storage and a microSD card slot. So any U.S. Cellular customers interested?
