It’s that time of year again folks, where everyone under the sun has something to announce and while there’s a multitude of Bluetooth speakers rumbling around the halls in Las Vegas, Braven is a name that many of you will be familiar with. We’ve reviewed a number of Braven products in the past, and they’ve become known for delivering quality sound in well-built speakers. Now, the company has something special to announce for those interested in rugged speakers that not only sound good, but can take a real beating. Braven’s own press release describes the BRV Pro as “tank-like” and we’re inclined to believe them.
The BRV Pro is a fairly sizable speaker that promises “HD sound” for up to 20 hours thanks to the 2,200 mAh battery. Said battery can double as a portable battery pack to charge your devices on the go as well. For $149.99 you’ll get the speaker, which is built using aluminum and is IPX7 water and dust resistant, making it perfect for pool parties, to be left out in the garden or just to be kicked around for the hell of it. The BRV Pro is also going to have a number of accessories available for it including a “Glow Deck” which doubles as a lamp, an extended battery pack, a stacking plate to put multiple speakers together and a solar pack to keep the machine running all day using nothing but the summer sun. These accessories will run from $29.99 to $49.99.
The BRV Pro seems like a pretty accomplished product, especially for those looking for a wireless solution for the garden or while traveling, going on camping trips, that sort of thing. We know that Braven make quality-sounding speakers, and we hope the BRV Pro doesn’t suffer as a result of its rugged form. For those looking for a powerful, tank of a speaker the BRV Pro and its accessories will be available in Q2 of this year, starting at $149.99.
