You can tell we are closing in on the holidays and the end of the year, because news has slowed, there aren’t any new phones to review, and we are starting to reflect back on what was the best of the past 12 months. That doesn’t mean we didn’t have a bunch of good content for you to consumer this week, though. Here are the New Emoji Coming to Android Next Week

Earlier in the week, Google’s Hiroshi Lockheimer told us to expect new emoji on Nexus devices next week, thanks to a system update that will be joined by a new keyboard and font. Shortly after he made the announcement, we took to Hangouts on the web after a tip told us that re-vamped emoji expected to be a part of the update were already available and showed you many of them (pictured above).

Then yesterday, a redditor created a script to pull them all from Hangouts, but his script managed to get the new ones that will show up next week on Android as well, not just the re-vamped versions. You can see them all below. However, in case you were wondering, taco, middle finger, unicorn, upside down smiley, popcorn, and turkey emoji are all there.

Here are the new ones:

Rayman Adventures From Ubisoft is Free to Download on Google Play, Features IAPs

Those looking to get in a bit of side-scrolling action this weekend can head over to Google Play and pick up Rayman Adventures, the latest title from Ubisoft featuring the ever-so-popular Rayman character. Rayman Adventures, unlike the past two Rayman games, is completely free to download, so naturally, it’s covered in pricey IAPs, including one priced at $95.

In-app purchases aside, Rayman Adventures has you set out on an adventure to save the Incrediballs. On top of the expected action experience, players must also explore their environments to find and collect Incrediballs, with your primary objective being to bring them home. The Incrediball characters feature their own little super powers, and you can use these powers to your advantage when facing baddies.

Much like the other Rayman titles, Ubisoft spared no expense in terms of the game’s visuals. The environments are quite vibrant and all of the protagonist characters seem very personable.

This game is free to download and play, but as Ubisoft lists in the game’s description, “some game items can be purchased for real money. You can disable in-app purchases in your device’s settings.”

Telltale is Making a Batman Game!

Telltales Games, the episodic adventure game developer who has created awesome titles based on The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, announced this week that it has partnered with DC Comics and Warner to make a Batman game series. As a massive Batman fanboy, and one who has enjoyed many of Telltales previous titles, I can’t tell you how excited I am for this.

Few details were announced, only that the game would arrive at some point in 2016 on a variety of platforms, including mobile. An official name hasn’t even been decided upon just yet.

The co-founder of Telltale Games, Kevin Bruner, did say that they will “soon be exploring what it means to be Batman,” and that this game will “give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne.” Yep, that sounds awesome.
