Amazon Game Studios’ Tales From Deep Space is here
Amazon Game Studios has a new title available now for Kindle Fire tablets from 2014 and 2013. The action-adventure game is Tales From Deep Space. Players control traveling salesman E and his robotic piece of luggage CASI. The two are attempting to escape the Big Moon space station as it has been locked down. Although the game is of the action-adventure genre, it is full of puzzles with comedy as well.
Through ComiXology, a prequel comic compliments the Tales From Deep Space game. It provides players with the reason as to how E and CASI arrived at the Big Moon space station. If you are purchasing the game, we highly recommend the comic. After all, it is complimentary to the game and it is free.

The game is available now from the Amazon Appstore for 6.99 and the comic from ComiXology for free. You can tell Amazon worked very hard on the quality of the game; therefore, the $6.99 price is not all that steep.

Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact are MirrorLink-enabled
When it comes to connecting vehicles, there are a few options. Google has Android Auto, Apple has CarPlay, and the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) has MirrorLink. Two Sony handsets on the market today opt with the latter of the three. The Xperia Z3 (which we recently reviewed) and the Xperia Z3 Compact come out of the box with MirrorLink support. Google shuttering Glass Basecamps
New reports indicate Google is in the process of closing down the Glass Basecamps that it setup to help new customers obtaining Google Glass. When Glass was first introduced, buyers were strongly urged to to pick up their new devices via one of the Basecamps. Those existed only in San Francisco, Los Angles and New York, meaning most people were in for a road trip. However, the closure of the Basecamps is not necessarily bad news for Glass fans.
Earlier this year Google finally started to offer Glass through the Google Play Store. That transition included shutting down the separate site Google had been using for online orders and prior to that the invite request system. Google has also been adding new options for frames, shades and other accessories in recent months. All indications are that Google is moving Glass to a position of being a “normal” wearable device for purchase through Google Play.
That transition to more of a mainline status suggests the existence of the Basecamp stores was becoming even more of an anomaly than they were before. The stores brought a lot of extra costs with them for a product that is certainly a niche item, which probably further strengthened the case for closing the Basecamps.
While the closure of the locations may ultimately be a sign of positive developments for Glass, it will still be a sad event for people who have the devices or were checking them out. The stores provided a unique person-to-person interaction with Google employees. Google also took the time to create and hold events for Glass Explorers to participate in as part of an effort to grow and strengthen the community, so that will be going away.

Motorola updates Gallery and Camera apps with Material Design
Motorola has released updates to Google Play for a couple of their apps – Motorola Gallery and Motorola Camera. Both of the apps received a visual refresh to incorporate Google’s Material Design philosophy into their user interface along with a couple new features.
In addition to the refreshed look, Motorola indicates the Gallery app has received some performance improvements. The Camera app gets a couple new features to go with the new interface. Motorola has added a timer mode to the camera. Owners of a Moto X, DROID Ultra or DROID Turbo will find that they can now use a twisting motion to switch from the rear-facing to the front-facing camera. Motorola does not specify whether users can switch back with another twist.

Amazon exclusively selling the OnePlus One in India next month
In one lucky market, OnePlus is moving beyond the faulty invite or pre-order systems used elsewhere to purchase the One. The company will make Amazon the exclusive seller of the handset in India. The OnePlus One will be available through Amazon India next month with the price tag expected to be Rs 25,000 (or about $400). This is for the 64GB variant.
