On the heels of Humble Bundle 11 for Android/PC, Humble Mobile Bundle 8 arrives

humble-mobile-8

Just yesterday the folks at Humble Bundle launched Humble Bundle PC and Android 11 and now we are getting a second dose of awesome with the arrival of Humble Mobile Bundle 8.

The Android-exclusive collection consists of seven games: Tentacle Wars, Doodle God, Doodle Devil, Wave Wave, Little Big Adventure, Tower Madness 2 and EPOCH.2. The first four games are yours regardless of the price you donate, while the next two on the list require you to pay more than the average purchase price — currently $3.64. As for the last game on the list, EPOCH.2? You’ll need to donate at least $5 to nab it.

The Humble Bundle packages are a great way to get awesome games at rock-bottom pricing while also allowing a bit of your money to go towards charity as well. To purchase the game bundle or learn more details, you’ll want to head on over to their official website.

Gameloft Indulges In Its Usual Vice With The Lane-Based Endless Racer Asphalt Overdrive

unnamed There's a new Asphalt game available from Gameloft! But fans of the previous titles might not be so thrilled with the latest one. While Asphalt 8: Airborne was more or less a clone of arcade racers like Need For Speed, Asphalt Overdrive is a lane-based, candy-coated "endless" racer, with the player running away from cops in a Day-Glo take on 1980s California. It's a free download for Android 4.0 or higher.

The Humble Mobile Bundle 8 Is Live With 7 Awesome Games To Start

Humble Mobile Bundle 8

The next Humble Mobile Bundle is live, Humble Mobile Bundle 8, with seven awesome games to kick off the beginning of this bundle instead of the usual 6. Four of the seven games will be available to gamers who pay any amount they choose, and as always that literally means any amount you choose, which is a great deal to land some great savings on some cool game titles. Humble Bundle is all about getting us the greatest deals on some awesome games, and as part of the bundle they help charities by giving people the option to divvy up some of the cash to the selected charity for that specific bundle. This time around, Humble Mobile Bundle 8 is supporting Child’s Play Charity, and Electronic Frontier Foundation. You get to choose where your money goes, so you can give the bulk of it to the charities, or to the devs, and even leave Humble Bundle a tip for putting the awesome bundle together. You can even split it up evenly which is generally what I do personally.

As part of this bundle, gamers who pay any amount they wish will get access to Tentacle Wars, Doodle God: Premium Version, Doodle Devil: Premium Version, and Wave Wave. For gamers that pay whatever the average amount is at the time of buying the bundle, both Little Big Adventure and Tower Madness 2 will be unlocked. Last but not least, and the true gem of this bundle, is Epoch 2 which gamers can unlock if they pay at least $5 for the bundle.

Paying at least $5 to unlock Epoch 2 will of course unlock all the other content, and any future games that are added to the bundle which are currently listed as coming soon, but usually show up after the first week the bundle goes live. If you already own Epoch 2, you can simply pay whatever the average amount is and get the original seven games as well as the future added content. The Humble Mobile Bundle 8 also includes soundtracks for the first four games: Wave Wave, Doodle God and Doodle Devil, and the soundtrack for Tentacle Wars. Because why not rock out to the music of the games you’re playing, while you’re playing them?! If you’re interested in picking up this bundle hit the source link and jump to the website.

Sony Makes Creating Digital Stickers A Snap With Sticker Creator For Xperia Devices

Sticker Creator

Sony is one of those OEMs that tends to add all kinds of cool stuff to their line up of devices through apps they launch on the Play Store. The latest and greatest applies to any individuals with a Sony Xperia device that have a passion for scrapbooking, and is an app that Sony has released to the Play Store called Sticker Creator. Basically what the app does is allow you to take portions of other photos that you have taken with the camera or stored on your device, and create digital stickers of the selected area, and you can save those stickers for later use in applying them on top of other photos. It seems like a pretty cool and unique little way to make your pictures more fun.

If you’re someone that likes to play with and tweak their photos to make them more lively, and you own an Xperia device, you can add this to the list of specialized photo apps that Sony has put out onto the Play Store to enhance them in a number of different ways. Like all the other Sony camera apps, once you have installed Sticker Creator(which essentially acts as an add-on to the camera)you just simply open up the camera and you can chose Sticker Creator from the selection of camera plug ins. Stickers are easy to create from this point as all you have to do is select whether you want to use an already existing photo or capture a new one to use.

Once you have the photo that you want to use you just simply enclose the area that you want to use for the sticker, and you can even add fun things like border effects around them before you save it. When you have the sticker all finished, you can go back into the camera viewfinder, open up Sticker Creator and choose photo mode, and then apply the stickers to existing or newly captured images. It should go without saying but you can also adjust the size of the sticker and the placement so you get things in just the right spot. The app is free, and open to any and all interested Sony Xperia device users with no listed restrictions on what Xperia models are compatible, just that you need to be running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and up.

Galaxy S5 G900 (for Tmo) and Galaxy S4 LTE-A i9506 get CM11 nightlies

Samsung galaxy s5 vs galaxy s4 aa 3

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S5 G900-T and Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A i9506 will be happy to know that the Cyanogenmod team has now added CM11 nightlies for both devices.

The version here that will affect the most people is the GS5 G900-T, which is not only the carrier-branded T-Mobile version of the S5, it’s also sold in some international markets as an unlocked Qualcomm-powered variant. The Snapdragon 800-powered Galaxy S4 i9506, on the other hand, is a much less common device with little to no presence in the US (except for a few imports perhaps), though it does have some presence in Europe and other parts of the globe.

It’s amazing at just how many devices CM supports, both officially and through unofficial means, especially when you consider how many variants of major flagships are out there. Obviously they can’t support them all, but they sure seem to try their best. To grab the ROM for the GS5 G900-T you’ll want to click here or click here for the GS4 i9506.

n It's great that OEMs are using the Play Store to distribute apps to their devices these days. However, Sony might be taking it a little far with a trio of new apps for Xperia devices. AR fun, Ninja, and Sticker Creator exist now, and no amount of wishing will make them go away.

All three of these apps are ways to add stuff to your pictures within the Sony camera app.
