As we’re waiting for Samsung to unveil their newest flagship at MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, the company keeps on releasing all kinds of ads for their existing products along with teasers for the upcoming ones. The company has already advertised their Gear VR headset in all sorts of ways, and now they released yet another ad. This video was posted by Samsung Australia YouTube channel, and it basically shows us the opening of what seems to be a “Shark Diving” store 1,200 kilometers from the nearest ocean. This video vas shot in Alice Springs, Central Australia, and it shows interesting reactions of people as they see the sign in from of the store, and their reactions after using the Gear VR to experience virtual shark diving journey.
If you’re interested in checking out this video, we’ve embedded it for you down below this article, it’s 2:20 minutes long. The footage that the people are watching in this video can also be seen in Sidney and Melbourne, in Samsung’s Experience stores over there. The footage will also be released via Oculus App Store, a place which actually contains all the Gear VR (official) content). Samsung has unveiled the Gear VR back at IFA in Berlin last September, and this headset actually needs the Galaxy Note 4 in order to function, you can’t use it without that phablet. The headset will, however, support some of Samsung’s upcoming devices, like the upcoming flagship(s) (Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge) that is going to be showcased on March 1st in Barcelona.
Samsung has actually developed the Gear VR headset with the help from Oculus, a company which released the Oculus Rift VR headset.
