Samsung Infographic Depicts The History Of Their Wearables

The last twelve to eighteen months has certainly been the era of wearables. Even before Google unveiled their Android Wear platform, there was already a lot of talk and speculation about what was to come. Not to mention, some wearables had already started hitting the market. One manufacturer who jumped on the wearable train very early (and substantially) was Samsung. The South Korean tech giant has been very focused on bringing to market a number of wearable devices and at present are clearly one of the manufacturers who offer the most varied number of wearable devices. From fitness trackers, to watches, to standalone call making watches, Samsung has them all.

In fact, it looks like the folks over at Samsung have released a new infographic (yes, they seem to like making them too) which highlights the history of their wearables. Or at least, the major milestones in terms of their wearable offerings. The infographic starts off from long before Android Wear was unveiled and right up until their most recent offering.

The infographic starts its journey with one of their first offerings in the wearable domain, the Samsung Gear. From here, the infographic moves on the second generation Gear, the Samsung Gear 2 And the Gear Neo. Following on from this, we move into the more fitness oriented wearable known as the Samsung Gear Fit. This brings us up to Samsung’s first Android Wear offering, the Samsung Gear Live. Finally, this brings the infographic back to its latest wearable offering the Samsung Gear S, which is not only a smartwatch but their first standalone 3G connected watch, from where you can make and receive calls. Of course, Samsung probably will have to update this infographic soon enough, as it is already highly anticipated that they are preparing to launch the latest smartwatch. This one is rumored to be a round watch and is currently going by the codename ‘Orbis’. In the meantime though, check out the infographic below and let us know what you think.
