One of India’s biggest retailers, Flipkart, has teased the launch of Motorola Droid Turbo (aka Droid Maxx) in India last month. Well, that device has just arrived in this Asian country and is listed on Flipkart’s webpage, and also available for pre-order at the moment, though the official name stated on the listing is “Moto Turbo”. The device is available for pre-order for Rs. 41,999 ($669), in case you live in India and are interested in purchasing a copy. This is one of Motorola’s flagships, a high-end device with a huge battery on the inside which should provide more than enough screen on time during your daily usage. Anyhow, let’s check out its specifications, shall we.
The Moto Turbo comes sporting a 5.2-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM for all your multitasking needs, and 32 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage (only the 64GB version is available in India). This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz which ships with an Adreno 420 for graphics. 21-megapixel camera is located on the back of this device and is flanked by a dual-LED flash, while there’s a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter also included here. A big, 3,900mAh non-removable battery ships with this device, and Android 5.0 Lollipop is pre-installed on this device. The operating system is more or less stock, though Motorola did include a couple of the company’s home-baked applications here. This is a single SIM handset and it supports LTE Band 3 in India. The phone also comes with water-repellent nanocoating, in case you were wondering. This handset measures 143.5 x 73.3 x 8.3 – 11.2 and weighs 169 grams.
