Two New Xiaomi Mi Note Variants Surface In China

AH Mi Note Xiaomi Logo-7

Xiaomi has announced quite a few devices back in January, including the company’s new Mi Note flagships. The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro are Xiaomi’s most powerful devices at the moment, and the latter one isn’t even available for sale at the moment. This Chinese smartphone OEM has recently sold 2.1 million devices in a single day as part of their Mi Fan Festival, and even broke Guinness World Record by doing so. Xiaomi has also teased new hardware launches later this month.

As previously mentioned, the Snapdragon 810-powered Mi Note Pro is still not available for purchase, but should be soon. That being said, we have some new info regarding some additional Mi Note models, which we did not expect. Two new Mi Note variants surfaced on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), and both of them keep the same screen size and body measurements, but there are some differences. The 2015021 model actually has a 3,010mAh battery on the inside, and the 2014617 handset sports a 2,900mAh battery. For comparison’s sake, the original Mi Note and Mi Note Pro devices both sport a 3,000mAh unit on the inside. TENAA’s listing wasn’t all that detailed and it did not reveal any additional specifications info unfortunately, but both of these models might keep the same spec sheet as the two devices that were announced back in January.

Speaking of which, both the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro come with a 5.7-inch display and look identical on the outside. These two devices also feature the same camera sensors, a 13-megapixel snapper i located on the back of these two devices (OIS included) along with a dual-LED, dual tone flash. The 4-megapixel (2um pixel size, like the UltraPixel front-facing snapper on the HTC One M9) camera is available on the front side of these two devices. There are some differences here, of course. The Mi Note sports a 1080p screen resolution, while the Mi Note Pro features a QuadHD resolution. The Mi Note is powered by the Snapdragon 801 and offers 3GB of RAM, while the Mi Note Pro will ship with the Snapdragon 810 and 4GB of RAM. Check out our specification articles for the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro in order to get more details.
