You gotta love watching Sprint and T-Mobile add service after service in order to compete with the big boys. Sprint’s latest offering is called Direct 2 You, which is launching today.
You know what’s it’s like going to the carrier store right? Even if you know exactly what you want, it always seems to take hours to get the hell out of there. With Sprint Direct 2 You, a Sprint account rep will come to you with your knew phone, whether it be your home, office, coffee shop, or who knows, maybe even Disney World.
Now they won’t just drop off your phone, they will actually help you set it up and provide tips and tutorials until you’re comfortable using it.
This is definitely a first for wireless carriers here in the U.S., and it will be interesting to see if the rest of the big three follow suit. Even more interesting will be if customers actually use the service.
The new service is only available in Kansas City, but will eventually be available in more cities. Sprint plans on adding 5,000 Sprint Direct 2 You Fiat 500s by year’s end.
