HTC has announced two new devices in China a couple of days ago, the HTC One M9+ and One E9+. Both of the handsets have been leaking like crazy ever since the company announced their One M9 flagship back in March. Both the One M9+ and One E9+ are high-end offerings by this Taiwan-based company, and neither of them will be available for purchase outside of Asia, unfortunately. This seemed like a somewhat odd decision by HTC, but there you have it. Anyhow, we’ve talked about the pricing of these devices in Taiwan recently, thanks to the report that came our way. Well, we’re here to talk about the pricing situation of the One E9+ in China now, considering the device got listed on JingDong Mall, one of China’s biggest retailers.
The One E9+ is now listed on Jingdong Mall in two versions actually, one version costs 2,999 Yuan ($483) and the other one 3,299 ($531). The only difference, as far as we can tell, are the headphones that come bundled in with the more expensive version of this device. The specifications are the same on both of these devices. It seems like these two devices might be a bit cheaper in China than they are in Taiwan, though that’s still not confirmed. We don’t have the official pricing info just yet, and the device still isn’t listed in Taiwan, all we have to report on at the moment are reports (as far as Taiwan goes). HTC One E9+ will reportedly cost NT$ 15,900 in Taiwan, which is approximately $508 (3,158 Yuan).
The HTC One E9+ sports a 5.5-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage (expandable via microSD card up to 128GB). This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6795M octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz which ships with a PowerVR G6200 GPU for graphics. On the back of this device you’ll find a 20-megapixel camera which is flanked by an LED flash, and there’s a 4-megapixel UltraPixel shooter available on the front side of this handset. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with HTC’s Sense UI 7 on top of Google’s operating system. The 2,800mAh battery ships with this device, and this handset also supports 4G LTE and dual SIM connectivity.
