InFocus is an interesting company that you might, or might have not heard of thus far. This company is actually based in Oregon, US, and was founded way back in 1986. This company manufactures all sorts of tech, from smartphones and tablets to LCD projectors and huge touchscreen displays. Well, the company is expected to announce their new InFocus M330 handset in India soon, and the device is already listed on Snapdeal. It seems like the company is partnering up with Snapdeal yet again, even though the device isn’t available at the moment. Anyhow, let’s take a quick look at its specs, shall we.
The InFocus M330 features a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 protection on top. This handset will also come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage (expandable via microSD card). MediaTek’s MT6592 octa-core processor will power on this thing along with a Mali 450 GPU for graphics. On the back of the device you’ll find a 13-megapixel snapper (Sony Exmor R sensor, f/2.2 aperture) which is flanked by an LED flash. 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front (Sony Exmor R sensor, f/2.4 aperture, 75-degree wide-angel lens) and a 3,100mAh battery will come built-in here. This is a dual-SIM device and it comes with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed with InFocus’ InLife UI on on top of Google’s operating system. The InFocus M330 measures 53.4 x 78.1 x 9.3mm and weighs 167 grams. This handset also has a set of capacitive buttons below the display (menu, home and back).
As you can see, the InFocus M330 is a solid mid-ranger, and it seems like it will be available very soon judging by this listing. The Snapdeal page says the device will cost Rs. 9,999 ($161). This handset will have plenty of handsets to compete with in India, like Xiaomi’s Redmi Note handset, which offers similar specifications and also costs Rs. 9,999. The InFocus M330 is nothing to write home about as far as the design goes, but it offers more than decent set of specifications, it’s up for you to decide if it’s worth your money or not.
