Meizu has announced its new Meizu MX4 flagship recently, while the much rumored Meizu MX4 Pro is nowhere to be found. Well, we have some new information coming straight from China. According to the latest report, Meizu MX4 Pro will launch next month and will include a fingerprint sensor. Meizu MX4 Pro is expected to be a bigger version of MX4 carrying a bit more punch with it, if I can put it that way. The device is expected to sport a 5.4-inch 2K display by Shark along with 3GB of RAM and 20-7-megapixel camera. Samsung’s Exynos 5433 processor is rumored to be powering the device, however considering MX4 is powered by a MediaTek’s chip, MX4 Pro will most probably be as well.
Android 4.4 KitKat will come pre-installed on the device with Meizu’s very own Flyme 4.0 OS on top of it. According to latest rumors, the device will cost 2999 Yuan, which is approximately $488. This makes the device more expensive than its little brother, which is priced between 1799 Yuan ($292) and 2399 ($390), depending on the amount of storage inside the device. Meizu MX4 is a beastly device and has scored over 50 000 on AnTuTu benchmark. According to the rumors, MX4 Pro should be eve more powerful than the MX4, which will bring its “flagship” status in questions. There are all just rumors of course, we’re not sure what exactly Meizu is planning, but we will find out next month if this report is to believed. Either way, both Meizu MX4 and MX4 Pro will face tough competition on the market, both in China and worldwide (when they become available). We’ve seen a ton of new devices launched at IFA until now and it’s not nearly over. Meizu does have something going for them and that’s its price. MX4 is an extremely competitive phone if we consider its price and its seem MX4 Pro will be as well. Meizu has to find a way to bring this phone to as many countries as they possibly can in order to attract consumers, hopefully Meizu plans to do that.
