WearFaces Lets You Create Your Very Own Custom Android Wear Watchface

There are definitely some cool watch faces that have come out for the Android Wear devices so far and there will be plenty more to come as the months go by. If you are wanting something specific though and aren’t finding whatever it is that you’re looking for, a new app called WearFaces aims to help you get just the right watch face by enabling you to create it yourself. That’s right, the app will allow you to build an Android Wear watch face that you can call your own. As awesome as some of the watch faces are that have been released to the Play Store, this is quite simply put, one of the coolest apps out there. Perhaps that is just my love for device customization talking.

With WearFaces, you can for the most part build your watch face creations from the ground up by picking out specific details of the watchface like the hour and minute hands, and the face background itself, as well as the faces design while it dims, and whether or not to include a hand for the seconds. From the sounds of it WearFaces has a fair amount of detail customization that it places in the hands of the user, so if you’re waiting for that perfect watchface, stop waiting and take control, and simply create it yourself. You can either choose to create the watchface background and all the hands by yourself, and then apply them through this app, or you can use pre-made packs that can be downloaded and stored. After you have what you want you press the “send to wear” button and that’s all there is to it.

Thus far the WearFaces app is compatible with both the currently released Android Wear smartwatches, and it will be compatible with the Moto 360 when it launches as well. You’ll find that the app has some pre-made packs already but you can also find and download more from other users by navigating your browser to wearfaces.com, or like we described above, you can be adventurous and design your own so you have something truly unique.
