Meizu has been teasing this on their Facebook page this morning, but it looks like the company is going to be showing off a stunning new OS soon. Right now, Meizu’s devices all run on Flyme OS. Which is currently at version 3.0 and runs on the MX2 and MX3 and is available for the Samsung Galaxy S4. From the rumors, leaks and speculation we’ve seen, it looks like the next flagship from Meizu is going to run Flyme 4.0, which is said to have quite a bit of changes, both in features and in the UI. And it might even be based off of Android L which is a huge difference compared to KitKat, itself.

Over in China, Meizu is a pretty popular OEM. Not as popular as Xiaomi, but still pretty popular. Right now the smartphone market over in China is the largest in the world. To think about it in numbers, China sells more smartphones each year than the US has people. That’s a lot of smartphones right?

Meizu’s Facebook post also says “What other features are you excited for on our forthcoming new device?” So far we don’t know much about the MX4, but we’re sure it’ll be a high-end device and still be cheaper than the likes of Samsung, LG, Motorola and other popular manufacturers high-end devices. At least when it comes to China. Likely a Snapdragon 805 or 810, depending on when it’ll be available, along with 3GB of RAM, is what we are thinking. Possibly a 5.2-inch display as well, although it’s not confirmed, none of these specs are.

How many of you out there are interested in seeing what Meizu’s new OS is going to look like? How many of you are looking forward to picking up Meizu’s next flagship smartphone? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
