Oppo N3 Image Leaks And Reveals A Fingerprint Scanner On The Back

Oppo N3 fingerprint scanner leak

Oppo has confirmed that Oppo N1’s successor will be launched on October 29th. On the surprise of many, the device will be called Oppo N3 instead of Oppo N2, nobody knows why but I hope Oppo will let us in on the details. Anyhow, we’ve seen tons of rumors about this device in the last couple of weeks. We’ve seen 4 different fake renders until Oppo actually shared one with us and removed any doubt that the camera will be located at the top of the device and showed us how will the device look, at least its upper back part that is. Oppo’s CEO, Chenming Yong, confirmed that the N3 will feature a 16-megapixel camera which will come with 1/2.3-inch sensor which should provide higher quality images with less noticeable crop factor. And last official piece of information we got this far is the video showing of N3’s camera in action which was shared by Mr. Yong recently via Weibo (Chinese social network). This video shows off Oppo N3’s camera in action and suggest that it might be motorized, this could actually be a smart rotating camera, though nothing is confirmed just yet.

Now that we got that out of the way, we have some new info for you, though we’re entering leaks territory once again. Image leaked which allegedly shows Oppo N3’s back and reveals what seems to be a fingerprint scanner, as you can see on the image itself. We’re, of course, not sure that is a fingerprint scanner, but it sure seems like it, the positioning is kind of odd though. If this turns out to be legit, Oppo N3 will join the likes of HTC One Maxx and Huawei Ascend Mate 7, both of which have a fingerprint scanner on the back.

It was rumored earlier that this device will sport a lightweight space-grade metal construction of aluminum-lithium alloy and will come with VOOC rapid charging. The device will reportedly feature a 5.9-inch 1080p (or QHD) display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 processor is expected to power on this thing. 3GB of RAM will allegedly also come with the device as well as the aforementioned 16-megapixel camera. We’ve also seen Oppo N3’s alleged cooling system which Oppo made for this device. Oppo will announce this thing soon, but stay tuned, I have a feeling we’ll see more leaks / confirmations in the coming days.
