As expected the SDK and final developer previews of Android 5.0 Lollipop have been dropped today just as Google stated they would be, and as we said earlier in our announcement post about it, the release of the SDK would open up the doors for all kinds of goodies to come out of the SDK like app apks and such. It also means wallpapers and sounds, and if you can’t wait to get a little more lollipop flavor onto your device you can do so now by downloading the official Android 5.0 wallpapers and sounds. We have the files for you to download below, as well as a gallery with a few of the wallpapers to show what some of them look like.
The sounds file includes ringtones, alarm sounds, the UI sounds and the notifications so you’ll be able to get your device sounding just like a Nexus 6 in no time. The sounds are easily my favorite part. The wallpapers are nice too though. It should be noted that the images of the wallpapers in the gallery are not full resolution, so if you want those you’ll need to download the Wallpaper file from the link. This may not be actual Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it might hold you over until you can either receive the OTA update to your device or pick yourself up a Nexus 6 or Nexus 9(the Nexus 9 can be pre-ordered from Amazon and a host of other retailers and web stores as of today) which won’t be too far off.
This won’t be the only set of things to come out of the SDK we assure you, and as more files from Lollipop surface, we’ll post those too so you can grab anything you want to give your device a tweak and a taste of Android sweetest OS version yet.
