Well guys, heres our first look at Motorola’s new Turbo Charger. Starting at just $35, this little piece of plastic promises to dig your battery from the grave yard and bring it back to life within just 15 minutes. So where will 15 minutes of charge get you with this charger? It is estimated that you’ll get 8 hours of life once charged, giving you time to refuel and go on about your busy day. Now keep in mind that this is a sizeable accessory. Just by looking at the photos in the gallery below, you can see that the Turbo Charger is rather large. But with its large size, it shouldn’t be a problem carrying it around in your bag or purse. According to the box, the Motorola Turbo Charger works on “USB-powered devices from Motorola, Apple, Samsung and more.”

Although the box says that the charger will work for USB-powered devices such as Samsung and Apple, the super charging capabilities will only work for devices that have the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology such as the one found in the new Motorola Moto X. In addition to that side note, the battery must be practically depleted and when the device is undergoing charging, the rate will slow down as it progresses. So from the looks of things, the new Turbo Charging is a bit mis-leading. If the charger will only work for devices with Quick Charge 2.0 technology, why would they say it will work for other phones? Simple, that’s because it will, and they never stated that the actual “turbo charging” capability will work on any microUSB supported device, and it’s only logical to assume that to use such a feature that a device would need the technology embedded that supports it. The good news is, people who own a device with Quick Charge technology will be able to quickly get their phone up and running again after just 15 minutes. The charger delivers super high voltage which increases the charge rate of which your phone receives, allowing super fast charging.

So what if you buy the Turbo Charger and your phone does not come equip with the Quick Charge technology? Well the device will more than likely charge your phone using standard voltage so it won’t zap your battery. We got a gallery below for you to take a look at so you can see what we’re talking about when it comes to the size of the accessory. Considering the fact that the charger cost only $35, its a bargain for your buck.
