Oppo Confirms That N3 Will Be Launched On October 29th

Oppo appealed to many consumers with its Oppo N1 flagship last year. That device sported great build, specs and a rather odd rotating camera on top of it. It was to be expected that Oppo will launch its successor this year. We’ve been seeing rumors / leaks regarding that phone for quite some time now, though for some reason it seems Oppo will call it the N3, not the N2, hopefully we’ll get an explanation for that soon. Anyhow, we have some new, this time official, news to share with you. Oppo posted a rather revealing “One More Step Designed For Life” teaser via company’s official Twitter handle which you can check out above this article. It clearly says “N3″ on the right and down below “October 29th, Singapore”. So, there you have it, the announcement will take place on October 29th, not October 15th as some rumors were saying.

We’ve seen three possible renders of this device leaked. The first one seems rather… well, ugly. I don’t want to sugarcoat this, the camera just looks out of place and I really doubt Oppo will use that design. The second one is way more probably though, the rotating camera on the top fits really nice with the overall design of the device which gives it a sleek look. And finally, the third one. This concept seems great actually, but I doubt it will happen. This render shows a camera which is hidden inside the device, reminds me of a MicroSD card slot or something. I doubt Oppo will be able to make enough room inside the device for something like this considering it would have to be significantly thick and wide in order for them pull off something like this. I could be wrong, of course, but I don’t believe they can pull this off just yet.

Other than that we’ve seen some rumors saying that the device will feature VOOC rapid charging (just like the Oppo Find 7), that it will sports lithium-aluminum build, we’ve even seen an alleged cooling system Oppo made just for this device. October 29th isn’t that far away, but I believe we’ll see more leaks before Oppo finally unveils this thing.
