The HTC Desire Eye was the second device unveiled today at HTC’s Double Exposure event, and although it’s clear that it has a selfie focused allure about it, it also holds some pretty decent specs and still packs a nice rear camera for your main photos too. It sports a Full HD display and dual 13MP wide angle lens cameras, with dual-led flash on both the front and back, as well as a unibody design. Although, the body is made of a two toned molded plastic this time around and not the metal seen on the HTC One M8. The device will also come packing a suite of HTC’s new photography focused features, appropriately termed the HTC Eye Experience, including apps like the updated version of HTC Zoe, and functions like speaking to the camera to take pictures(not so new as its already on other devices).
However there are some new features for HTC like the ability to use front and back cameras at the same time, which for example would allow the user to snap a photo of themselves while also taking a picture of a nice beautiful landscape, and then they can place the picture of themselves as an overlay on top of the subject they shot with the main camera. Pretty cool right? Our own Alex Maxham was on site at the event and was able to grab a bunch of hands on photos for us, go ahead and check them out below.
