The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is a great tablet. I reviewed the WiFi model a few weeks ago, and absolutely loved it. It’s got a 10.5-inch 2560×1600 resolution AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset inside (obviously because this is the LTE version), 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Obviously with this being a Samsung tablet, there is also a microSD card slot inside. Now the part that I didn’t like about the Galaxy Tab S was the way it felt in the hand and how it looked. I reviewed the white model, so let me throw that disclaimer in here, and it was pretty slippery. The black model may be different, as was the case with the Galaxy Note 3 last year. It also has the gold trim, which isn’t terrible on the white model, but it just clashes on the black model, in my opinion. But that won’t hinder performance either.
AT&T started pre-orders for their Galaxy Tab S yesterday, and today Verizon has it available to purchase. If you’re looking to purchase the tablet outright, it can be yours for just $599. Or you can grab it for $499 on a 2-year contract (which isn’t really a good idea, as you’ll end up paying more for it), finally, you can use EDGE and pay $29.99/month for the Galaxy Tab S. Which isn’t too bad either. You can add the Galaxy Tab S onto your account and use the data plan you already have for your smartphone. Unfortunately, Verizon doesn’t give out free data like a certain other carrier.
The Galaxy Tab S is in stores now, so if you want to go check it out, feel free. It’s a great tablet and if you love Samsung and/or AMOLED displays, this is going to be an excellent choice for you. How many of you are going to pick up the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 from Verizon?
