Pre-Order The Galaxy Note 4 And Samsung Will Give You $200 For Trading In Your Old Smartphone

Samsung-Galaxy-Note-4-AH-12

Sprint may not be setting up their pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 until the end of next week, but Samsung is giving users who get a head start and pre-order the device a pretty good deal. Samsung has just announced that they will guarantee anyone who does a pre-order for the Galaxy Note 4 sometime between September 19th which is tomorrow, and October 16th which is the day before Sprint actually launches the device on their network, a guaranteed $200 trade in for their old device. That means if you pre-order the device between now and next month’s launch, you can get $200 for your old Note 3 and essentially put that money towards your purchase of the new device. Since the deal goes all the way through October 16th, this means that once Sprint actually opens up pre-orders, subscribers will be able to get this deal.

On top of all of this Samsung is stating that anyone who pre-orders the Note 4 from any carrier or any retailer. So basically anywhere that sells the device should be included. Of course this deal like many good deals seems to be limited to carriers and retailers within the U.S., which makes us wonder if they’re going to do something like this for any of the other many regions where the Note 4 is launching. In actuality you won’t really be able to use the money we imagine towards your purchase, as Samsung is sending a check for the amount of the trade-in which likely won’t be make it to consumers before the phone launches and they are able to pick it up.

Here’s how the trade-in works. Where ever you go to trade in your working smartphone(yes, sorry it has to be working and it has to be a smartphone), that retailer should be issuing you a trade-in value of some amount for your old device. In the description the deal says “any” U.S. retailer or carrier but in the fine print it says “participating retailers” so we’d imagine all major carriers and larger retailers like Best Buy, Fry’s, probably Office Max and others would be included. However we’d recommend checking with the retailer or carrier where you plan to buy it just to be sure. After you get a receipt that states your trade-in value along with the pre-order purchase, you can send that off to Samsung and they will issue you a check for the difference amount between $200 and whatever your initial trade-in value was, totaling $200. Not a bad deal especially if you were already considering buying this device. Anyone going to participate in this? If so, the link with the all the details and fine print is in the source below, it’s also the site you’ll return to on October 10th to submit all the required information so that you can receive that check from Samsung, so we’d recommend bookmarking it.
