Meizu Was Able To Sell Out 100,000 M1 Units In Under A Minute Yet Again

Meizu just keeps on growing. This China-based company has set their new record in January, they sold 1.5 million smartphones last month, while they usually sell about 1 million per month. These are, of course, great news for the company. We’ve also recently reported that Alibaba Group, China’s biggest e-commerce company, has decided to invest $590 million in Meizu, which will definitely help this company grow even further. Meizu has announced their newest handset on January 28, the Meizu M1. This thing is extremely affordable and surprisingly capable for that amount of money, Meizu has sold 100,000 units of the M1 under a minute at their first flash sale in China which took place a couple of days ago, and now they’re at it again.

This Chinese company has held yet another Meizu M1 flash sale in China, and surprise, surprise, the device is sold out yet again. Meizu was once again able to sell 100,000 units of the M1 handset in under a minute, which is great for the company. Companies usually have less amount of units available for such flash sales and takes them longer to sell those compared to Meizu’s rather significant number of available units. Next flash sale probably won’t occur before China’s Spring Festival (Chinese new year), which is actually not that far away, so you can expect at least one more flash sale this month.

The Meizu M1 features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 768) display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage which you can expand via microSD card up to 128GB. This device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6732 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and it ships with a 2,500mAh battery on the inside. The 13-megapixel camera sensor is located on the back of this thing along with the LED flash, and a 5-megapixel shooter is available up front. The M1 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed and Flyme 4.2 UI on top of it, the newest version of Meizu’s very own Android skin. 4G LTE connectivity (Chinese bands) is also a part of this package, and the device is available in Blue, White, Yellow, Green, Pink-Purple and Turquoise color options.
