Best Buy Site Lists Sprint Model Moto E 2nd Generation With LTE For $99

Those who have been watching Motorola over the last couple of years are probably aware of the supreme budget minded handset they released called the Moto E. While both the Moto X and the Moto G have gotten successors with updated specs and designs, the Moto E which is Motorola’s most price friendly smartphone so far has yet to officially launch a successor. We know that it’s coming at some point, Motorola just hasn’t unveiled the phone officially so far. That hasn’t stopped Best Buy from listing the Sprint model of this device on their website, which states it’ll cost $99.99 with Sprint’s prepaid service.

Along with the listing it shows off a series of specifications, which displays that the phone will be 4G LTE compatible, and it’ll also apparently be running on Android 5.0 Lollipop directly out of the box, so consumers who purchase this version of the Moto E will be getting an up to date handset from the get go without having to wait for Motorola or Sprint to push out an OTA for the newest software. At the moment we’re going to wager that it won’t list as available in any locations, as you can’t currently place an order for it to ship from the online web store.

The phone looks to come in an all black color only(at least for this model)and will come with a 4.5-inch TFT qHD display with 540 x 960 resolution, 8GB of internal storage space, 1GB of RAM, a Qualcomm quad-core processor, and a 5MP rear facing camera with a VGA camera on the front. There are no details on when this device will be available, but if Best Buy is already listing it we can’t be too far off from an official announcement as well as the chance to buy the device. There is also the question of when we’ll see the 2nd Gen Moto E pop up on Motorola’s own website for purchase, which may be sooner than we think but we’re not really sure. If you’re a Sprint customer using their prepaid service and are interested in this device, we’d recommend to keep an eye on it as the release could be sometime in the near future.
