Meizu M1 Mini Gets Pictured In China, Is Expected To Launch On January 28

Meizu M1 Note AH-37

Meizu is growing at an incredible pace, much like Xiaomi. This China-based smartphone manufacturer released three great devices in 2014, the MX4, MX4 Pro and the M1 Note. The first two were released as company’s flagship devices, while the latter one is the extremely affordable mid-ranger, but a higher-end mid-range handset. Meizu has really managed to impress us with their devices in 2014, and we expect nothing less in 2015, which is a really important year for this company, it’s their chance to leave a real mark in the market and perhaps even expand their business outside of China.

This Chinese OEM has already announced that they’ll hold an even on January 28, and it seems like Meizu will have lots to say at that event. Their “Connected” teaser suggests we’ll see some sort of smart home products being launched, I’m only guessing of course. What we do know will launch their though, is the smaller version of company’s M1 Note handset, the M1 Mini, or whatever the company decides to call this thing in the end. We’ve seen tons of rumors regarding this device, even before the M1 Note launched back in December. The M1 Mini is expected to feature the same specifications as the M1 Note, but will reportedly sport a smaller 5-inch display. We’ve already seen some leaks when it comes to this device, and today another one popped up, if you take a look at the image below this article you’ll notice the back side of this handset. Talking about the design, this will literally be a smaller version of the M1 Note, so if you’re interested to know what the device will look like, picture the M1 Note, but somewhat smaller.

The device will feature a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and various storage sizes. MediaTek’s MT6752 octa-core SoC will power on this thing, and the device will ship with Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Flyme 4 on top of it most probably. 13-megapixel snapper will be located on the back of this thing, and a 5-megapixel shooter will be available up front. This thing will reportedly cost 799 Yuan ($129) in China, which would be a killer price for this thing, no matter which way you spin things.
