This year has barely begun and Xiaomi has already released three new smartphones and a couple of additional gadgets. The company has introduced the Redmi 2 handset on January 4, which was followed by the January 15 event where they announced the Mi Note, Mi Note Pro, Mi Headphones and Mi Box Mini devices. This China-based company has also introduced their Bluetooth Gamepad today, which basically means they introduced six new devices in January, which is just crazy. The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro devices are easily the most interesting ones to me, and I believe to most of you as well. These two are Xiaomi’s new flagships which are extremely well-equipped and their price is more than acceptable.
These two handsets look identical on the outside, the differences lay on the inside, more on that later though. This Chinese smartphone vendor has just released the Mi Note commercial on their official “Mi” YouTube channel. You can check out the commercial yourself if you want, it is embedded down below. The video is 1 minute long and it shows off a lot of color, Chinese dancers and the Mi Note handset(s) gets a lot of video time here. They showed off the device from various angles during the whole dance routine. I’d say this ad is very Asia-like, as I said, it offers a lot of color lights… etc.
As I said, these handsets look the same on the outside, but their internals are significantly different. The Mi Note features a 5.7-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, 16 / 64GB of internal storage and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core chip. The Mi Note Pro also sports a 5.7-inch screen, but this one comes with 2K resolution. The Mi Note Pro also features 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor. Both of these handsets sport the same camera sensors, the 13-megapixel snapper (Sony IMX214 BSI sensor) on the back and a 4-megapixel shooter (2um pixel size) on the front of the device. Dual-LED, dual tone flash is located on the back of these handsets as well and both of them offer dual-SIM, dual standby functionality.
