Unlocked HTC One M8 owners should keep an eye out for an OTA update notification today. According to a Tweet from HTC’s Mo Versi, an Android 4.4.4 update complete with Eye Experience camera software is heading out to One M8 owners today.
HTC One (M8) Unlock Owners! You’ll start receiving the latest Eye SW (Face Tracking, Split Capture, etc) + OS 4.4.4 starting tomorrow. Thx!

The same update began rolling out in Europe at the end of last week, which includes HTC’s new face detection feature, split capture for front and rear cameras, and voice activated selfies. If you’re curious as to what this update has in store, HTC uploaded a selection of videos detailing these new Eye Experience features last week.
Carrier branded editions of the HTC One M8 will have to wait a little longer for the update, and availability will probably vary depending on each carrier. Other HTC handsets, including the One M7, Desire 816, Desire 820 and Butterfly 2, are also in-line for an Eye Experience update in the coming months, but an exact date has not been specified by HTC yet.
