I thought Evleaks retired? Guess he got bored and began leaking stuff again, which we are okay with. Anyways, we’ve got the Nexus 6 here. And it appears to be a press shot of the device. There’s not much new here, from the front it looks exactly like a Moto X (2014), at least from the hardware aspect. As far as software goes, you can see there’s a lot more Google apps on the home screen. Before the Nexus 6, we’d have the Play Store in one corner and a folder of a few Google apps in the other. Now it looks like there are three folders of Google apps along with the Play Store. Which we did hear that there would be more Google apps pre-installed on Android devices soon. And it looks like the Nexus 6 is the first one to do that. We can also see that the navigation buttons are a bit smaller. Which we had heard in a recent test build of Android L. So that shouldn’t be surprising.
There’s also no Nexus marking here. And from what we’ve heard, Google still hasn’t gotten rights to use “Nexus 6″ for this device. In fact, we’ve heard it may be called simply “Nexus”. Which would be a great way to change up the naming scheme, because next year we’ll have the Nexus 7, even though we’ve already had two Nexus 7 tablets. So it’ll get pretty confusing. Right now, all signs are pointing to a Oct. 15th announcement of the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Android L, which should be tomorrow. So hopefully there won’t be anymore leaks after that. I know I definitely can’t wait to get my hands on Android L, how about the rest of you? Who’s buying some new Nexus hardware this year? Be sure to let us know in the comments down below.
