Possible Render of the Nexus 9’s Back Appears in Latest Leak

We’ve been hearing a lot about the Nexus 9 over the last few months and while we would have expected Google to have released their latest tablet by now, it seems like they’re more willing to wait until the time is right. With word that HTC and Google are working on a tablet powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 CPU, the Nexus 9 sounds like it could be the best Nexus yet and considering we’re apparently looking at a 9.7-inch tablet that hopes to bridge the gap between the Nexus 7 and the forgotten Nexus 10, this latest tablet could be the one to instill new faith in Android as a tablet operating system.

Unsurprisingly, we’ve seen yet another leak concerning the Nexus 9 and this time around, it appears to be a render of the back of the device. This latest leak appeared on Twitter from @upleaks and while there’s a fairly large chance this is yet another fake render, the device does seem to have the right sort of proportions for a tablet that’s rumored to have a 4:3 aspect ratio. As well as that, the Nexus logo appears to be in the same style as the Nexus 7 and Nexus 5 from last year, as does the camera lens design, of course this could be another hint that we’re looking at a fake render, but as time draws on, Google and HTC will have to release this thing very, very soon if they hope to get some good sales this holiday quarter.

Google is getting ready to launch their latest version of Android, currently known as ‘L’ and while each year Google traditionally releases a new Nexus device to show off the latest version, we haven’t heard all that much about a possible Nexus smartphone We’ve heard rumors of a 5.9-inch Motorola Nexus, but it’s looking more and more likely this is to be a Verizon-exclusive device, but a new tablet in the form of the Nexus 9 looks more and more likely to be launching any day now.
