HTC Nexus 9 Hits the Taiwan NCC

New Nexus 7 2 AH 9

Over the weekend, we got word that the Nexus 9 had hit the FCC here in the US. It didn’t really give us any new information. But we do know that it’s been approved to be sold in the US. Which we are looking at an October 15th announcement at this point. The Nexus 9 is said to be running the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with a 8.9-inch display. Most of the other specs, have not been confirmed, and we’ve heard various rumors about the RAM, storage, and battery. We’ll likely see 3GB of RAM inside with a 32GB model. We’re crossing our fingers on a 64GB model though. It will be launching with Android L, which we know a lot about already, thanks to the developer preview at Google I/O. And many of us have been playing around with the Developer Preview ever since.

Now the Nexus 9 has hit Taiwan’s FCC equivalent. Which is the NCC. So that makes it pretty likely that the Nexus 9 will be sold over in Taiwan. Which shouldn’t be surprising. We know that HTC is making the Nexus 9, and they do have a launch event this week in New York City, which I will be attending. We don’t expect to see the Nexus 9 unveiled there, as Google typically does that. But it has been done before with Samsung and the Galaxy Nexus. I just wouldn’t keep my hopes up for an October 8th unveil. More than likely, it’ll come next week.

The Nexus 9 is the first tablet we’ve had in over a year from Google. And the first larger tablet since the Nexus 10 back in late 2012. So it’s about time. How many of you are interested in the HTC-made Nexus 9? Or are you more interested in the Nexus 6 from Motorola? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
