HTC has unveiled their new flagship handset earlier this month as part of MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona. The One M9 has been available for pre-order in certain regions for a while now, but we’re not here to talk about the company’s newest flagship though. Ever since the One M9 launched, we’ve been getting a lot of rumors regarding other HTC-branded handsets. The One M9+, One E9 and One E9+ have been rumored and leaked quite a lot, and HTC has even listed the One E9+ in China yesterday. The One M9+ will quite probably launch at the company’s “More than One” event in Beijing on April 8th, and One E9 and E9+ are expected to be announced quite soon as well.
One of HTC’s Desire devices was certified quite recently as well, and some rumors and leaks have revealed some information about the HTC Butterfly 3 handset. We’ve been wondering for quite some time now if that handset will be available outside of Asia, and it seems like it won’t. According to @upleaks’ latest leak, HTC Butterfly will launch in Asia and will stay there. Earlier rumors have stated that the device will arrive in the second half of this year, and that it will be available in Red, White and Blue color options at launch. Much like the HTC Butterfly and Butterfly 2, this handset will sport high-end specifications once it launches.
Speaking of specs, the device is rumored to sport a 5.2-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display, a display which will be similar to Droid Turbo’s 5.2-inch QuadHD panel in terms of size and PPI. Leaks did not reveal other possible specifications of this handset, but Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 is likely to power on this device, and succeed the Snapdragon 801 which HTC has included in the Butterfly 2. HTC will quite probably opt to include 3GB of RAM here, though 4GB is also a possibility considering that the device is expected to launch in a couple of months. 20.7-megapixel camera will quite probably be located on the back of the device, and you can expected Android Lollipop to come pre-installed here with HTC’s Sense UI on top of Google’s OS.
