Xiaomi have been making big waves in the last year and in 2015 they are seriously hoping to improve on that situation and make even more of a splash. To start the year off, Xiaomi today held their unveiling of the Xiaomi Mi Note, which packs a decent set of specs at an affordable price, That said, the Mi Note is limited compared to other devices and to make sure no one is left out, Xiaomi also unveiled a maxed out version of the Mi Note dubbed the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro. This device boasts some seriously upgraded specs, so let’s see what’s on offer.
The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro comes equipped with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display (2560 x 1440) resolution and a 515 PPI. Inside the Mi Note Pro comes with an upgraded 4GB LP DDR4 RAM and the processor has also been upgraded to a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa-core processor (four x 1.5GHz ARM A53 + four x 2.0 GHz ARM A57) along with an Adreno 430 GPU. In terms of memory, the Note Pro also comes upgraded compared to the standard Note, offering 64GB (eMMC 5.0 Flash) internal storage. On the camera front, the Note Pro comes with the same 13MP rear shooter with dual-zone LED Flash, Sony IMX 214 BSI sensor, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and the same build up of 6 lenses (one on top of the other). Not to mention the f/2.0 aperture and support for 4K video recording. On the front of the device, the Note Pro also comes with the same 4MP front-facing camera as the Mi Note.
Addition features include dual-SIM compatibility with support for both micro and nano-SIM card. The screen comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the device measures 6.95mm while being 161 grams in weight. For sound quality, the Note Pro supports Hi-Fi 192kHz/24bit format output and comes equipped with ES9018 and OPA1612 built-in chips for enhanced audio quality. The Note Pro also offers 4G LTE support (cat.9 with download speeds up to 450 Mbps), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n along with WiFi Direct. Lastly, the Note Pro comes powered by a 3,090 mAh battery and running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with the MIUI 6 skin on top.
