Xiaomi’s event in Beijing just finished. The company had lots to say, and they announced two handsets today. First and foremost, the company has announced the Xiaomi Mi Note handset, we’ve already covered that announcement, check it out if you’d like. This China-based company had a little surprise for us at the end of the event though, they talked about the Xiaomi Mi Note for a long time and then introduced the Mi Note Pro handset, the one that will be more appealing for those of you who need to have the cutting edge of technology. Let’s see what that device has to offer.

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro looks basically the same as the Mi Note, but it’s significantly different. Both of these devices feature a 5.7-inch display, but the Mi Note Pro offers quadHD (2560 x 1440, 515 PPI) resolution. The Mi Note Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 SoC, a 64-bit octa-core processor which ships with an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics rendering. This handset also sports 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and comes with 64GB of internal storage (eMMC 5.0 Flash).

This device comes with dual-SIM, dual standby capability (micro + nano) and it offers dual 4G connectivity (cat.9, up to 450Mbps download speeds) as well. 13-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture) is located at the back of this device, the same shooter you’ll find on the Xiaomi Mi Note (Sony IMX214 BSI sensor, 6-element lens). This camera has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and is flanked by a dual-LED flash. 4-megapixel shooter is located on the front side of this device. This device is 6.95mm thick and it weighs 161 grams.

The Mi Note Pro, much like the Note, supports Hi-Fi sounds output, 192kHz / 24bit format output. It has ES9018 and OPA1612 chips built-in and they should offer significantly better audio quality. This thing is running the same MIUI version on top of Android 4.4 KitKat as the Xiaomi Mi Note does, Xiaomi has implemented the one-handed mode in order to make that 5.7-inch display more usable. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS are also a part of this package, of course. 3,090mAh battery ships with this device, in case you were wondering. The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro will cost 3,299 Yuan ($532) and comes in a 64GB variant only. This price is more than acceptable considering what this device has to offers, at least in my humble opinion.

What are your thoughts here? Are you interested in this device, will you purchase it once Xiaomi makes it available? Do you think the price is fair?
