The next time you search for a particular song’s lyrics on Google, you will most likely see the actual lyrics at the top of the results rather than a bunch of links to other sites. All you have to do is search for the song name with the word “lyrics” and it will appear. An example would be Rock And Roll All Nite Lyrics.
This will obviously hurt such sites as azlyrics.com and songlyrics.com, which usually rank pretty high when searching for lyrics.
You will most likely see only a snippet of the lyrics, but you will get a Google Play link to see the full lyrics. This is obviously an example of Google putting their content in front of others.
Google hasn’t rolled this feature out to a lot of classic songs. You’re more likely to see lyrics in the search results for newer more popular songs.
