Nokia surprised everyone when they launched company’s first Android-powered tablet, the Nokia N1, back in November. This seemed odd for several reasons, let me explain. You all probably know that Microsoft acquired Nokia a while back, but not the whole company, a part of this Finland-based company is actually operating separately and is in charge of various projects. One thing they are not allowed to make (for a certain amount of time), as part of their deal with Microsoft, are smartphone devices, which actually includes tablets. Well, Nokia found a nice little workaround and released company’s first Android-powered tablet. The tablet is only developed by Nokia, but is manufactured by Foxconn. The tablet itself actually turned out quite nice, the design is spot on and the specs are nothing to scoff either. This tablet running Nokia’s very own Z Launcher on top of Android, you can try out that launcher yourself if you’d like to, it’s available on Google Play Store.
That being said, a new leak popped up, showing Nokia’s alleged Android phone which is due to launch soon. The phone is called Nokia C1 according to this leak and it will come sporting some respectable specs, let’s check it out. According to the rumor, this handset will feature a 5-inch display on the front along with the 5-megapixel front-facing camera. 2GB of RAM will be available on the inside for your multitasking needs and the phone will ship with 32GB of in-built storage. 8-megapixel camera will allegedly be located on the back of this handset and the device will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed with Nokia’s Z Launcher on top of Google’s Android OS.
We have no way of confirming any of this, everything we have to go on is the leaked image and the rumors which shared this device’s alleged specs. It would be nice to see Nokia launch an Android-powered phone, though this is not what I imagined it will look like. Either way, take all of this with a pinch of salt, let’s see if we get any more rumors / leaks regarding this device before we draw any conclusions here. You can check out the two leaked images down below, the second image looks… well, very unrealistic, to say the least.
