Finding great deals are hard to come by. They get even harder when you’re trying to search for them on your own without the proper resources. Amazon knows the struggle that consumers go through in trying to find good deals so they have decided to help out. Amazon announced on their developer blog that they have a new feature available in the Kindle App Store for the Kindle Fire HD and HDX tablets. The feature is called Deal Center, which is a centralized hub where customers can easily find discounted apps on the Amazon App Store.
According to Amazon, “It is designed to help developers acquire new customers. Deal Center is implemented as a collection of widgets, each of which displays a different type of deal or product. Customers can see several offers at a glance and follow links to browse all discounts that are available.” In addition, Amazon added “Discounts that were previously visible only from the detail page associated with your app are now easier to find, and feature individual Buy buttons to simplify purchases. Customers can install apps right from Deal Center without having to navigate to the detail page for each app.” Overall, the Deal Center feature is simplifying the buyers experience while at the same time giving them great deals.
Deal Center is an awesome new feature Amazon is adding. What makes it even more awesome is the Amazon Free App of The Day that will be included with it. So now, discounted and free apps will be available right before us and ready for purchase. As of right now, there is no word on whether Deal Center has gone live in the Amazon App Store yet. As said before this feature is only available for the Kindle Fire HD and HDX tablets. There is no word on whether this feature would be available for their newly announced Fire Phone or have this feature extended out to other versions of the Amazon App Store.
