Verizon has just flipped the switch on the pre-order pages for the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and HTC One M9. All three will be launching on April 10th in Verizon stores and at retailers that sell Verizon smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and HTC One M9 all have been on pre-order from T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint since late last week, great to see Verizon finally getting in on the action. Especially since they are the biggest carrier in the US.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were announced on March 1st in Barcelona at their annual Unpacked event. These are some of Samsung’s best looking devices in years, along with top-of-the-line specs, and Wireless charging. Samsung has a 5.1-inch 2560×1440 resolution AMOLED display on both models as well as an Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There’s also a 64GB and 128GB model that will be available from all the carriers. This time around, Samsung opted for no removable battery and no microSD card slot. Which is a bit surprising after how much they touted having those features over their competitors.
While the HTC One M9 was also announced at MWC in Barcelona on March 1st, it hasn’t gotten anywhere near as much press as Samsung. However, we did just finish reviewing the HTC One M9 earlier this week, so take a look at that. HTC gave us a 5-inch 1080p display along with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM. There’s also 32GB of storage inside with a microSD card slot. HTC also upgraded their camera, and gave us a 20MP camera on the back, which takes some decent photos, in our time with the device.
