HTC has been all over the place lately. The company has announced their new flagship in early march as part of MWC in Barcelona, and they appointed a new CEO of the company. We’ve seen a lot of leaks regarding HTCs upcoming smartphones as well. The company is expected to announce the HTC One M9+ in Beijing on April 8th (they already scheduled an event), and we’ve also seen a ton of HTC One E9 and One E9+ leaks and rumors. The One E9+ has even been listed by HTC on their official Chinese webpage, and thus confirmed. Anyhow, we’re here to talk about the One E9 considering a new set of renders leaked.
These renders are provided by @upleaks, a rather well-known leaker. if you take a look at the provided images in the gallery down below, you’ll notice that this handset awfully resembles the HTC One M7 and One M8, more than the One M9. All of these handsets look really similar, but the One E9’s design is definitely closer to the One M7 and One M8’s design. Anyhow, judging by these images, the One E9 will sport a plastic shell and matte finish. BoomSound speakers are also clearly visible up front.
Regarding this device’s specs, well, we don’t have much information at the moment. It turns out that some of the previously leaked specs actually regarded the One E9+, not the One E9. That being said, it’s safe to assume that the One E9 will sport a somewhat smaller display than the One E9+. Something in between 5 and 5.2-inches seems logical, considering that the One E9+ sports a 5.5-inch panel. HTC will quite probably include a 1080p panel on this device, instead of the QuadHD panel used in the One E9+. MediaTek’s SoC will almost certainly power on this thing, perhaps even the same MT6795 processor that is listed for the One E9+. The 20-megapixel camera on the back is also a probable outcome, though we won’t know for sure until HTC actually releases this thing, which will hopefully happen soon.
