Xiaomi has launched a slew of devices last month and has started this year with a bang. The company has launched three new handsets along with some additional smart hardware. The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro handsets are company’s newest flagship devices which they announced at the press event in China on January 15. These two handsets look basically identical, they are significantly different on the inside though. The Mi Note features a 5.7-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU, while the Mi Note Pro sports the screen of the same size but quadHD in resolution and will ship with 4GB of RAM and will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor.
That being said, both of these handsets are great and will definitely help Xiaomi to sell a ton of devices this year. Xiaomi did however announced that they’ll be announcing additional hardware in the coming months, but they did not specify what, of course. Well, a new Xiaomi-branded device leaked in China and it looks awfully similar to the Mi Note devices. This thing also resembles some renders we’ve seen before the Mi Note handsets launched. If you take a look at the provided images, you’ll notice that this looks like a Mi Note handset with trimmed down bezels on the sides, in fact, this thing has no bezels on the sides by the looks of it.
That’s not all though, a mysterious Xiaomi-branded smartphone received radio certification, the 2014618 model, which doesn’t really reveal anything on its own. The only thing that we do know is that this handset will support GSM, TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE connectivity, thanks to the certification document, of course. The leaked handset and this certification might have nothing to do with each other, and they probably don’t, consider them separate news either way.
