Things are getting rather interesting in China. Meizu will unveil company’s newest Meizu MX4 Pro handset on November 19th and it seems like ZTE is planning to crash the party. We’ve been hearing some rumors about ZTE Nubia Z9 and even the phone itself showed its face a few days ago. This device is rather interesting because it comes with no bezel on the sides of the phone according to the rumors and the leak, only metallic trim can be seen covering the screen itself on its sides. The phone itself looks rather good in my humble opinion, it might remind some people of certain device which I won’t name at the moment, but the fact is this device definitely brings something new to the table. It is allegedly narrower than some sub-4″ handsets and it sports at 5.3-inch display. We don’t have much information about the device itself at the moment though.
ZTE actually went ahead and released a teaser of its upcoming Nubia handset. ZTE confirmed they will launch a Nubia device on November 19th, though the company didn’t specify which Nubia device. Despite that fact, we’re rather confident this Chinese manufacturer will release the rumored Nubia Z9. So, we’ll see both Meizu MX4 Pro and Nubia Z9 launched on November 19th, but that’s not all. ZTE added a little something extra on that teaser image they released on Weibo, “Why Pro?” is also a part of that image. This question is obviously a direct shot at Meizu and their MX4 Pro handset. As I said, things are getting really interesting in China and we’re about to see two great handsets launched on November 19th.
We have far more information on the Meizu MX4 Pro than we do when it comes to this ZTE Nubia device. We’ve talked about the Meizu MX4 Pro at length many times before, just to recap, the handset will sport a 2K display and a fingerprint sensor below the screen, that much has been confirmed. According to many rumors and leaks (including a GFXBench listing), that 2K display will be 5.5-inches in size and the device will sport 3GB of RAM and will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5430 octa-core processor. 20.7-megapixel camera will also be a part of this device and the handset will ship with Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Flyme OS (powered by YunOS) on top of it. November 19th will certainly be an interesting date for us, which one of these handsets are you more excited about?
