Meizu’s MX4 Pro handset has leaked back and forth in the past couple of weeks. We’ve seen this handset from every angle, though who knows how many of those leaks were actually legit. We know 2 things for sure, this handset will sport a 2K display and a fingerprint sensor below the screen, which was confirmed already. According to rumors and the pure look of the sensor, I believe it will be push-activated, as it should be. Rumors have also been saying that Meizu will use sapphire on top of the sensor itself, which is always a good news. So we’re looking at something similar to what Apple brought on company’s iPhone 5S, 6 and 6S devices and Huawei on their Mate 7 handset. Hopefully, Meizu implemented this sensor correctly and it will work like a charm, we’ll definitely test that.
Until then, we have a new leaked image of said fingerprint sensor, up close and personal. As you can see in the image above this article, MX4 Pro’s alleged home button / fingerprint sensor looks a lot like Galaxy S2’s physical home button. I just can’t get away from that comparison, it reminds me of S2’s home button so, so much. Anyhow, this image goes along with basically everything we’ve seen leaked thus far, most of it at the very least. We did see some circular renders / images, same goes for squared off one, but it seems like this shape is the most leaked one. I’m still not certain this will be the final design of course, but I believe it will, either way, we’ll find out in about 2 days.
According to a ton of leaks, including leaked GFXBench benchmarks, Meizu MX4 Pro will feature a 5.5-inch 2K (2560 x 1536) display along with 3GB of RAM and multiple storage options. Samsung’s Exynos 5430 processor will quite probably power on this handset along with Mali-T628 MP6 GPU for graphics rendering. 20.7-megapixel camera (Sony’s sensor) will be this handset’s main shooter (just like the one used in the original MX4) while a 5-megapixel shooter will reportedly be located up front. This device will ship with Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Flyme OS (powered by YunOS) on top of it. November 19th is the date, so stay tuned.
