As rumored in previous weeks, HTC will be stepping back into the tablet (and Nexus) game with the Nexus 9, the company’s first tablet since 2011 and first Nexus device since the Nexus One in 2010. According to the Wall Street Journal, the tablet is the product of endless collaboration between Google and HTC, with the latter’s engineers flying back and forth between headquarters constantly.
The rumors surrounding the Nexus 9 have been floating around for a while with various hints of its existence popping up in patent lawsuits and product pages. Not much is known about the tablet, but it is expected to feature Tegra’s new K1 processor and launch alongside the highly-anticipated Android L. No word on pricing, but if prior Nexus devices are any indicator, this could be a very high-end tablet with a mid-range price tag. Let us know in the comments if you are looking forward to HTC’s upcoming tablet.
