We’re roaming around the show floor at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, and are getting hands-ons with all sorts of devices. We came to HP’s booth and decided to try out the huge tablet they announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, the HP Pro Slate 12. We played around with this behemoth of a device and managed to get some nice images for you to check out, which you can find in the gallery down below. This is a really, really big tablet which offers a sleek-looking design and a huge 12.3 display. Anyhow, let’s check out its specifications.
This tablet measures 300.3 x 222 x 8mm, and weighs 850 grams, just to put it in perspective for you. On the front of the device, you’ll find a 12.3-inch 1600 x 1200 IPS LCD display, which looks solid. You also get a pair of front-facing stereo speakers here with DTS Sound+ included. This device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz and it ships with a non-removable Li-Po battery (21Wh). 8-megapixel camera is available at the back of this device, and a 2-megapixel snapper can be found up front. This thing ships with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). HP also pack in the company’s “HP Duet Pen” here, which is a stylus, of course. 3G HSPA connection is available, for those of you who want to put a SIM card inside this thing. Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device with HP’s skin on top of Google’s operating system.
The HP Pro Slate 12 is available in Silver color only, and it is priced at $569. If you’re in a market for a really huge Android-powered tablet, this is one of the few options you have available at the moment. Anyhow, let us know what you think in the comments below, we’d love to hear what you have to say.
