NYNE, a company that specializes in making some pretty great Bluetooth speakers that are perfect for traveling to places where they might get wet, thanks to the water resistant technology built in, has announced that they’ll be showing off three new water resistant Bluetooth speakers at the upcoming CES trade show called the Edge, Verge, and Rock,(all pictured below)all having varied sizes of portability. If you have an active lifestyle and the need for a Bluetooth speaker that is just as active as you, either of these three new speakers just might be what you’re looking for.
Both the Edge and the Verge speakers were designed with active cyclists in mind. If you ride a bike to work or school or get your exercise in through cycling, each of these speakers has the capability to be mounted to the handle bars so you don’t have to worry about stuffing it in your bag, and since it’s mounted right in front of you, you have easy access to the controls for volume and track management. Both speakers are also equipped with a handy LED light with an included strobe setting to act as a front mounted bike light for later night rides when it’s already dark.
As for the third speaker that NYNE is launching, the Rock, this speaker is significantly bigger and meant for house parties, beach parties, camping trips, or anywhere else that life takes you. The Rock features a rechargeable battery inside and carries a 50-watt power rating, but it also has two tweeters and an active woofer for bass pumping sound. It’s also got a carrying handle to make it easy to transport, and all three speakers are IPX rated for water resistance. The Edge, Verge, and Rock all work off of Bluetooth 4.0 technology with built-in NFC for easy tap-to-pair capabilities, as well as a mic for hands free calls, a 3.5mm aux input, and a 12-hour battery life which will work nicely alongside the built in USB power bank to charge your smartphone or other mobile device while you listen to music. The NYNE Edge will cost $159.95, while it’s smaller sibling will cost $119.95, and the big boy, The Rock speaker, will set you back $299.95 if you really need some sound. All three speakers are expected to launch in the second quarter of 2015.
