E FUN Unveils Four New Android Lollipop Powered Tablets

Now that the week is coming to a close and CES week will soon be kicking off there will be a whole ton of announcements coming down the wire. Today E FUN announced that they are launching a set of Android 5.0 (Lollipop) android tablets to its Nextbook Ares Series. Some of these will be the first to showcase an Intel-powered Nextbook Android Lollipop 2-in 1 tablets while one of them will be the first 4G LTE connected Anroid Lollipop Nextbook.


The first tablet in the range is the Nextbook Ares 11. This is an 11.6″ 2-in 1 tablet which will be the first Intel-powered Nextbook tablet. The Ares 11 offers an 11.6” IPS screen with a 1266 x 768 resolution. As this is a 2-in-1 option it also comes with a detachable magnetic keyboard. Inside the device is equipped with 1GB RAM and a Quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F Processor (clocking at 1.8GHz). Additional features include 64GB internal storage, Bluetooth and 2MP cameras on both the front and rear of the device. The Ares 11 also comes with a ton of ports including mini HDMI, microSD, microUSB, and a USB port (on the keyboard). Not forgetting it will also come with Lollipop. Next up is the Nextbook Ares 10L. This is as the name suggests a 10.1” tablet which comes with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800. The big selling point for this one is that it is the first 4g/LTE connected Nextbook 2-in-1 tablet running on Lollipop. Similar to the 11, this also comes with a detachable keyboard. Inside the Ares 10L comes with 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core processor (clocking at 1.2 GHz). Additional features include Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, the same external ports and also 2MP cameras on the front and rear.


Going down in size we come to the Nextbook Ares 8. This is the 8” version of the tablet and again running on android Lollipop. with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800. Inside this one has 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and powered by a MTK MT8127 Quad-Core ARM Cortex A7 (clocking at 1.3GHz). Completing the range is the Nextbook Ares 8L. This is the 4G/LTE Lollipop running tablet which offers again an 8” screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution. Inside this one also comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Although this one is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-Core ARM Cortex A53 processor. (clocking at 1.2GHz)


In terms of pricing, the NextBook Ares 8 will be available for $129 while the 4G/LTE variant, the Nextbook Ares 8L will cost $199. In terms of the bigger tablets, the Ares Nextbook Ares 10L will cost $229 and the Nextbook Ares 11 will be up for $249. All four will be on show next week at CES.
