Everyone has heard of Sony, this Japan-based giant has released a bunch of compelling devices last year, and one of those was the Xperia Z3 Compact. This is a smaller version of Sony’s flagship, the Xperia Z3, but unlike other manufacturers, Sony didn’t downgrade its specs (too much) along with its size. This handset has almost identical specifications as its bigger brother, save for the screen resolution due to a smaller screen size, 1GB less RAM and of course its size and battery are different. Many people like this handset because they can get a smaller-sized Sony flagship here, which is completely understandable, not everyone wants a huge phone.
That being said, the green version of this handset is now available for purchase from the U.K. retailer, Clove. The green version of this device was available only from Sony Direct or from a specific U.K. High Street retailer, up until now that is. I bet there are those of you who really like this color, it’s certainly different, I’m not a huge fan of these flashy colors, but for those of you who are… you have options now. The green version of this device joins the black, white and red versions which have been available from Clove for a while now.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact ships with a 4.6-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD Triluminous display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB). This device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU. On the back of the device you’ll find a 20.7-megapixel camera and a LED flash while there’s a 2.2-megapixel shooter on the front of this device. The Z3 Compact sports a 2600mAh battery which should be able to get you through the day and Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes out of the box with Sony’s UI on top of it. The device measures 127.3 x 64.9 x 8.6mm, it weighs 152 grams and ships with the IP65/68 certification for water and dust resistance.
