After getting a slick new Material design interface to update the look of the app, Google Drive is seeing yet another update in the Android app that makes it easier than ever to quickly search for your files.
As announced today on their Google+ page, the update allows users to search for files directly from a Google Voice Search on their phones. Simply speak the phrase “Ok, Google” and follow up with the file “on Drive.” For instance, “OK, Google — search for resume 2014 on Drive,” and watch as the results are brought back to you in no time flat.
Google says the update will be rolling out over the next week or so, so don’t bother performing any voice searches for your files just yet.
