Android 5.0 Lollipop is already available on a bunch of non-Nexus devices, but there are still many more devices waiting to get updated to the newest version of Google’s operating system. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 phablet is one of those device, we’ve seen the beta ROM leak for the Exynos version of this handset and also a video showing off the preview of Samsung’s Lollipop update on top of TouchWiz. The update should officially land on the Note 3 rather soon considering the build of it has leaked and it is now available, read on if you’re interested.
The N9505XXUGBNL8 update comes in at 1.1GB and it brings Android 5.0 Lollipop along with Samsung’s re-designed TouchWiz on top of it. You’ll of course have to flash this thing on your device in case you want to try it out, so if you’re not familiar with the process or are unwilling to take the risk of doing it, we’d advise you to stay away from messing with it. That being said, you can flash this image using the newest version of Odin (3.09), though keep in mind that you’ll lose all data on your device, of course, so backup everything you want to keep before you proceed with this. You should also backup your PIT partition. Another thing to keep in mind is that the first boot process will take somewhat longer than you might expect, Android 5.0 Lollipop uses ART (Android Runtime) and it will take a some time to boot your device for the first time and set everything up. This update is for the Note SM-N9005 version of the device.
