Motorola Nexus 6 Features Wireless Charging After All

N6-moreeverything-1600

Google announced its newest Nexus offerings recently, Motorola Nexus 6 and HTC Nexus 9. We have many information for you to look at when it comes to these devices, however one thing has been worrisome for some when it comes to the Nexus 6, I’m talking about wireless charging. Google’s Nexus 6 page doesn’t mention anything about it. Nexus 6 is manufactured by Motorola and Motorola’s newest flagship, Moto X, doesn’t have wireless charging support. Why am I even mentioning the Moto X? Well, Nexus 6 is derived from the Moto X, just like it was the case with previous Nexus devices and flasghips of their manufacturers. No need to worry, Nexus 6’s full spec sheet confirms that the device supports this feature. Nexus 6 comes with built-in wireless charging, so all you have to do is put it on a Qi-compatible wireless charger and you’re ready to go.

Motorola Nexus 6 features a beautiful 5.96-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 3GB of RAM for all your multitasking needs and 32 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage, depending on which variant you get of course. This phablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz which comes with an Adreno 420 GPU for graphics rendering. On the back of the device, you can find a 13-megapixel camera which is flanked by a dual-LED flash, just like the Moto X (2014). 2-megapixel camera is located on the front of the device. Nexus 6 comes with Bluetooth 4 and NFC built-in, this is a 4G LTE capable device and it of course ships with the newest version of Google’s operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device measures 159.3 x 83 x 10.1mm and it weighs 184 grams.

Nexus 6 is a true beast, no doubt about it, though I’d prefer it to be smaller, I really would, I’m not really a phablet person and it seems quite odd that Google opted to release such a huge Nexus smartphone / phablet. I would expect them to launch either a smaller phone or both a smartphone and a phablet. This thing is bigger than the Galaxy Note 4, for example, in every possible way. That’s just my personal preference of course, I know there are many of you out there who love this size and are looking forward to purchasing one of these phablets as soon as possible.
